The Friends of the Sherman Public Library will hold a Book Review Event at the library on Wednesday, Dec. 1 from 12-1pm. Kate Whitfield will review the classic holiday stories A CHRISTMAS MEMORY and THE THANKSGIVING VISITOR by Truman Capote. Set in the 1930s, both of these stories are based on the author’s childhood growing up in Alabama and center around a boy named Buddy and his elderly cousin Miss Sook.
