    For the success of SPLAT, we require that you respect everyone who attends. We want to have a warm, inviting atmosphere, free of as many distractions as possible. In order to create this environment, we all need to remain within the guidelines.

41. Please read the following rules of conduct for participating in SPLAT. By submitting this form, you agree to abide by the following regulations:*

    1. 1. Think before you speak: watch your language. If you mean it as an insult, don’t say it.
    2. 2. Keep your hands to yourself: No rough-housing, pushing, shoving, or excessive cuddling.
    3. 3. Be here because you want to be: Stay engaged and limit phone use during SPLAT meetings.
    4. 4. Respect everyone: Be kind to everyone including staff and other patrons. Take care of the library, our space, and anything belonging to others.

43. We like telling everyone how great our teens are--please don't prove us wrong. If you do not abide by these rules, Ms. Melissa will have to speak with you to discuss your participation in SPLAT. SPLAT is a working board where we try to make a difference in the library. If you do not participate in the group in meaningful ways, you will have to resign from the group and join at another time.

    As a member of SPLAT you are expected to attend SPLAT meetings and volunteer in at least 2 library programs annually (e.g., book sortings and sales, summer reading program, Trick or Treat village, children’s story times and special programs, any special SPLAT created programs, etc.).
