Do you have a Local History / Genealogy Department?

Local History and some Texana materials are available at Sherman Public Library. The majority of genealogy resources have been transferred to the new genealogy research facilities at Frontier Village, Loy Park, Denison.

We still have a number of the "green dot" how-to and general genealogy books available to check out, including books on Ancestry and Family Search online resources. Our microfilm copies of the Herald Democrat and microfiche of some local and Texas history are available here for patron use, and patrons can use the microfiche machine to print and email clippings from those resources.

We also maintain our subscription to Ancestry Library Edition as well as MyHeritage and the Heritage Quest resources on our TexShare databases, and the latter two are available from home for our patrons.
