Water Notice

 Well Water for Entire City

The pipeline between the City’s water treatment plant and Lake Texoma will be taken out of service for a two month period beginning Monday, October 28, 2019. The pipeline will be returned to service on Monday, January 6, 2020.

During this two month period, the entire City will be supplied with water from the City’s well system. Citizens in the north and west portions of the City who normally receive surface water will notice changes in the characteristics of the water. Although the changes may be noticeable, the water is safe for all municipal uses and is the water that is continuously supplied to approximately one-half of the citizens of Sherman. Citizens in the south and east portions of the City will not be affected by the change.

Should any significant problems be noted, the City’s Distribution and Collection department will respond. Please call 903-892-7258 to report any problems.=

Please be assured that the pipeline operations will be completed in the shortest possible time. Your cooperation and patience during this period will be appreciated.
