Review and acceptance of the following terms is required before accessing your account.

By enrolling in City of Sherman Online Billing, you (the "Customer") agree to the Terms and Conditions below. These Terms and Conditions are in addition to Customer's service agreement(s) with City of Sherman. City of Sherman Online Billing only applies to those Customers that have a valid service agreement with City of Sherman.

Customer will continue to receive a bill summary through regular U.S. Mail. Customer shall promptly notify City of Sherman if failing to receive any form of billing. However, non-receipt of a statement or email notification does not void the customer's financial responsibility and/or responsibility to ensure timely payments.

Customer is required to have a valid email address to complete enrollment. Customer agrees to keep the Password confidential at all times. If Customer forgets its Password, Customer may reset it online by completing certain verification procedures. Customer understands that it has sole responsibility for the security of the Password. Customer is solely responsible for notifying City of Sherman of the theft or loss of a Password. City of Sherman will not be liable for any actions, claims, costs, damages or expenses arising from a stolen or lost Password.

Abuse of the Service or malicious activity will not be tolerated. The City of Sherman and its affiliates reserve the right to suspend or refuse service, terminate accounts, block or terminate payment activity, remove or edit content, or cancel transactions at their sole discretion. Neither the termination nor suspension of your use of this Service shall affect your liability or obligations for timely payment of your utility bills to the City of Sherman

Payment Authorization
City of Sherman Online Billing allows for Customer to pay bills online in addition to standard mail-in payment. Customer will be charged a convenience fee of $1.25 per transaction for making payment online. Customer may also be charged by its financial institution. Customer agrees to pay the convenience fee and authorizes City of Sherman to charge the amount indicated by Customer to the financial institution and account indicated by Customer. City of Sherman is not responsible if Customer's financial institution rejects payment. If payment is not successful, additional fees may apply and service may be subject to termination.

Customer understands by enrolling in City of Sherman Online Billing Customer enters into an agreement with City of Sherman whereby Customer agrees to view and pay for only those accounts to which Customer is authorized. Customer agrees to only access its utility bill.

Online Refund Policy
Overpayments made by the Customer will be credited to the designated utility account and apply to the following billing period. In the event that your credit card was charged in error, requests for refunds or adjustments should be made within thirty (30) days of the original transaction. The period of thirty (30) days will begin from the transaction processing date.

Other Legal Terms & Conditions
Customer agrees to waive any liability against City of Sherman for any act or omission arising out of the use of City of Sherman Online Billing, unless caused by City of Sherman's gross negligence or willful conduct.

Customer agrees to not transmit any computer virus or messages that could damage City of Sherman's system.

Customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, applicable tariffs, state and federal rules and regulations, laws, any rules and regulations of a fund transfer system used by City of Sherman.

CITY OF SHERMAN MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO THE EQUIPMENT OR SERVICE AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND PROVIDES THE EQUIPMENT "AS IS".

Customer agrees that it cannot assign or transfer the Terms and Conditions at any time without written consent from City of Sherman.

These Terms and Conditions shall be subject to and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and venue shall only be the Courts of Grayson County.

Any unauthorized disclosure, copying, distribution of the proprietary information within City of Sherman Online Billing is prohibited and may be unlawful.
