Introducing the 2014 Summer Reading Club!

2014 slogan

The Summer Reading Club will begin on June 5th and continue until August 14th!
Fizz, Boom, Read into the Summer! This year's Summer Reading Club has expanded! It will be a ten-week, fun-filled, rewarding program for kids birth to 11 years old (teens have their own Club; see the Teen page)! For information see our flyer or read below!

The Club has two parts: a reading challenge and activity participation. For the reading challenge, it is super simple! You can choose either a book title or hour log when you sign up for the program at the library. (You can also guess how many books or how much you'll read this summer; check it after August 14th to see if you are right!)

Write the titles or the number of hours you read or are read to (including from CDs or eAudios!). Then, log in your titles or time weekly at the library and claim your prizes!

Each week, starting on Thursdays, you can get a special prize after reading one book or hour a week! Supplies are limited, so remember to visit weekly. If we run out of the special prizes, you can pick something from the treasure chest and we have age appropriate toys for 3 years old and under.

You also get to pick a favorite book after reading 10, 25, and 50 books or hours!

The reading portion of the club is completed after only 10 books or hours are read. After completing these 10, among other things, you will be invited to the "exclusive" Award Ceremony on August 15, 2014.

BUT KEEP READING! You'll still get prizes! And remember to participate in Dino Days! You can earn a free ticket to see Dinosaurs at the Sherman Museum by reading only 9 dinosaur books.

Celebrate the start of summer and the Club by coming to the Kick-off party, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Library. Sign-up for the Club, eat treats, do experiments, win door prizes, and more! For more information, please see our flyer.
