Children Programs

Our Spring story times will begin March 21st and run until May 14th!

Baby and Me Story Time
Every Monday from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for babies, birth to sturdy walkers, around 18 months, and a caregiver.

Enjoy a sweet time with your baby! This story time offers your child and you a lot of time for cuddling, singing, and rhyming. Everything we do is designed for our youngest learners and you! Pick a paperback book for your child on the fourth week you attend!
Read to Win Story Time
Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. for children ages 18 months to 5 years old and a caregiver.
DSCN0118Barney & Dudley, our story time mascots!
This story time is full of books, music, puppets and fingerplays. Earn a new paperback of your choice every 4th week. Older and younger children are welcome to attend; however, the free books are reserved for children ages 18 months-5 years old. No story time will be held on Wednesdays, April 6th and May 4th, and Saturday, April 23rd .

Young Readers
Every Monday from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Something for our new readers! This afternoon program is for elementary aged children. We will practice our literacy skills together in a fun environment, doing activities, crafts, hearing and acting out stories, and more.

Stuffed Animal PJ Story Time

Tuesday, April 12th 6:30 p.m.

Families with young children are invited to come in PJs and with stuffed animals for a special evening story time. After the story time, children can leave their stuffed animals to spend the night at the library (if they want!). The stuffed friends and picture collages of their night rumpus at the library will be available for pick up on Wednesday, April 13th after 3 p.m.
We would love to show you our library! Tours for groups of children can be scheduled by calling Mrs. Stuck at 903-892-7240.
We will post other special events periodically so visit the web page often. Or, follow the Friends of the Sherman Public Library on Twitter @SPLFriends for updates.

Also, if you or your child(ren) require any accommodations or would like different programming, let Mrs. Stuck know. Call her at 903-892-7240 or visit her at the library.
